Managed 220-employee lime plant and limestone mine. Responsible for underground mine and
plant safety, profit of operation, labor relations, payroll, maintenance, accounting, permitting,
planning and budgets, regulation compliance, engineering, quality control, purchasing, and customer relations.

1984 -1987

Vice President, Dravo Coal Company. Responsible for half-interest of Carbon County Coal
Company. Designed roof control system for new mine using resin bolts in development entries and steel arches for portal entries. Designed roof support for long wall.

1981 to 1987

General Manager, Carbon Coal Company, Hanna, WY.

Managed operation of 1,500,000 ton per year coal mine. Responsible for all underground
mining and surface processing and loading, safety, profit of operation, health, employee
relations, production, maintenance, accounting, regulation compliance, engineering,
Construction, permitting, quality control, purchasing, warehousing, scheduling, contract
adjustments, sales volume, pricing, and product specifications. Mine Superintendent from 1979
to 1981 and Chief Engineer from 1978 to 1979.

Held jobs as Mine Superintendent, Senior Project Engineer, Assistant Director of Engineering,
